Student Led Prayer
There are three minyanim (the minimum number of members required to conduct a religious ceremony) that are led by students at Wash U. The Reform Chaverah, the Conservative Minyan and the Traditional, or Orthodox, Minyan. All three minyans lead Friday Shabbat services weekly at Hillel. The Conservative Minyan meets a few times a month for a Saturday morning Shabbat service as well. Additionally, some students meet every morning to conduct a brief prayer service on the South 40 to start their day. The minyanim are always looking for new ideas and more students to participate in services.
See below for a schedule of when student led minyanim meet for prayer:
Daily Minyan (Mon-Fri, 8am, Lee Basement)
Egalitarian Minyan (Tues, 8am, Lee Library)
Reform, Conservative, and Orthodox Services (Fri nights at Hillel)
Conservative Shabbat Morning Minyan (Sat, 9:30am, upstairs at Hillel)
