Tammie grew up as a Lutheran and converted to Judaism. She will speak about her and her family&#8217;s experience as the targets of hate crimes, and give us tips on ways to battle hatred in our community. No charge for the event. Questions? <p style="text-align: left;">Bais Abe invites you to Educating from the Earth, a special Shabbaton program to kick off their community vegetable garden! <strong>Friday, Mar. 5</strong>: Carlebach davening at 5:45pm, followed by a delicious meal and &#8220;Gardens of Delight: The Idea of the Garden in Jewish Thought,&#8221; a study session with biblical, midrashic, and mystical texts. $14. <strong>Saturday, Mar. 6</strong>: Shacharit services at 9am where Nati Passow will give a d&#8217;var Torah on the growing movement of young Jews who are engaging in agricultural work, followed by a Lunch and Learn &#8220;How a Tiny People on a Big Planet Can Make an Enormous Difference.&#8221; $12. After Shabbat at 8pm, come view the film &#8220;The Garden,&#8221; which tells the story of the largest urban farm in the United States. <strong>Sunday, Mar. 7</strong>: We will start working in the garden, rain or shine!
